About GiftCincy

A gift concierge that only knows Cincinnati.

GiftCincy is a small, opinionated tool for one job: helping you find a genuinely good gift from an independent Greater Cincinnati business, fast, on your phone, without scrolling a marketplace that sells the same things to everyone.

What it is

Tell the concierge who you’re shopping for, your budget, and what they love. It searches a catalog built by hand from Cincinnati’s shops, makers, restaurants, and experiences, picks a few, and tells you why each one fits. Prefer chips to typing? The Gift Finder does the same thing in three taps.

Why local only

Greater Cincinnati has roughly 201,790 small businesses. The ones with the best gifts are usually the ones with the smallest marketing budgets. A gift bought here keeps a shop’s lights on through January, and it’s a better gift: nobody else is giving it. We don’t list national chains or drop-shippers, and we never will.

How shops are chosen (and paid)

Every merchant here is an independent business in Greater Cincinnati, verified by a person. Shops pay a flat seasonal fee to be listed; that is how GiftCincy pays for itself, and it is the only money that changes hands. There are no commissions, no affiliate links, and no pay-to-rank. Listings are paid placements, and we say so on every shop page. The concierge’s recommendations come from our local catalog only, chosen by fit, not by fee. Spotlight shops pay more for pinned placement on the home and neighborhood pages, and they’re labeled.

What happens when you buy

Nothing, from our side. Every pick links straight to the merchant: their website, their gift-card page, their Instagram, or directions to their door. We don’t take a cut, hold your payment, or ship anything. We count the click so the shop can see GiftCincy is working for them.

Privacy, briefly

No account, no tracking pixels from ad networks. Your list lives in your browser until you choose to share it. We log anonymous concierge questions and clicks so we can make the picks better and show shops their results.
